4. What sports would you play if you were living there? What do they consist on?
If I'm living there I would play Polo .Polo is a team sport played on horseback goals against an opposing team. Players score by driving a small white plastic or wooden ball into the opposing team's goal using a long-handled mallet. The traditional sport of polo is played at speed on a large grass field up to 300 yards in length, and each polo team consists of four riders and their mounts. in which the objective is to score .
Also I would play cricket. Cricket is a bat-and-ball team game. Many variations exist, with its most popular form played on an oval-shaped outdoor arena known as a cricket field, at the center of which is a rectangular 22-yard (20.12 m) long pitch that is the focus of the game. A game (or match) is contested between two teams of eleven players each. One team bats, trying to score as many runs as possible while the other team bowls and fields, trying to dismiss the batsmen and thus limit the runs scored by the batting team. A run is scored by the striking batsman hitting the ball with his bat, running to the opposite end of the pitch and touching the crease there without being dismissed. The teams switch between batting and fielding at the end of an innings.

British healthcare system
Most of the time we feel well.We can play sports, go to work and enjoy our lives. But sometimes we just don't feel well. What happens then?
Some people have medical insurance but most people can't affrod it and rely on the National Health Servise, the NHS.This is provided by the government in Britain. The NHS has sent everybody in Britain a Self-Help Guide. This will help you diagnose what is wrong and find the best treatment. You may need to go to the chemist to buy cough mixture or pills for a headache. You can get a prescription from a doctor. Doctors work in surgeries or health centres. The doctor examines you first to find out whatt's wrong. Then they can write you a description for medicine to cure you.
If you can't get to a doctor, there are two other NHS services you could try. The first is NHS direct. This is a phone service where a trained nurse will suggest the best way to treat you.The NHS also provides Walk-in Centres in more than 60 locations in Britain. You don't need an appoinment. For accidents or emergencies you should go to a hospital which has got a specific Accident and Emergencies deparment.
But many people prefer alternative medicine. This can include many kinds of treatment using both very old and very modern techniques.
The best way to avoid getting ill is to have a healthy diet, gets a lot of exercise and take good care of yourself. You shouldn't then need to use the healthcare system at all.
Computers in our lives
Computers are a very important part tof our lives.Did you know that 60% of homes in Britain have got a PC (personal Computer)? For many young people, playing computer games is their favourite way of spending spare time. Computers are a very important part of most areas of live in Britain. They'll even control theway we live- in 'smart homes' or computers-controlled houses.
The smart home is now a real possibility. It will become very common. And of course you will be able to give new instructions to the computer from your mobile phone. Many homes have got lots of televisions and several computers.
Are computers taking avuer our lives? In a survey, 44 per cent of young people between 11 and 16 said their PC was a trusted friend. Twenty per cent said they were happier at their computer than spending time with family or friend. Another survey found that people in Britain spend so much time on the phone, texting and reading e-mails that they no longer have time for conversation.
Transport
We're going to follow Freddie as he explores all the differents kinds of transport in London. He's a television researcher and he's going to find out about all the differents ways of travelling in London. He starts out from his home on his bycicle.
He leaves his bike at the station and gets on a train. Trains travel into London from all over the country. They are very important for people who live in the suburbs or outside London and travel into London for work.1.8 milion people into the center of London by train every day.
THe next part of Freddie's journey is on another kind of train calle dthe Docklands Light Railway. These are computer-controlled, trains with no drivers.
For many people the journey by train takes them to a convenient Underground Station.London Underground , usually called the Tube, was the first in the world when it opened in 1963.
The differents kinds of transport link up pretty well but sometimes you have to wait from one point in the journey to the next.
As well as the famous res double-decker buses, London has now got double-length buses- called "bendy buses" because of the way they go round corners.
People use lots of other forms of transport in London. Some people use boats on the River Thames to go to work.
There is one kind of transport that isn't very good in London-and that's the car. They move very slowly because there is too much traffic.
The buses and taxis travel more quickly because they have got specil lanes on the work.

Shipping in Britain
In England no town is more than 170 kimetres from the sea.So it's no surprise that Britain has a very important history of ships anfd the sea.The British biggest navy in the world at one time. In Liverpool there is a great museum of maritime history .It's got several ships in the docks outside.Inside it shows waht it was like to be on some of the ships.Ships like this one-the Cutty Sark Greenwich in London-brought tea fro India to Britain.
Between 1830 and 1930 more than nine milion people from all over Europe left from the port of Liverpool to start a new life in America or Australia. The most famous ship was probably the Titanic. It sank in 1912 and over 1,500 people drowned. It was the worst disaster in maritime history. You probably know about it from one of the most expensive films ever made-TITANIC!
One of the most famous shipping companies is Cunard. It's got the world's biggest cruise ship, the Queen Mary 2, which crosses the Atlantic from Southampton to New York.It still takes five or six days but some people prefer that to five or six hours in a aeroplane.
The majority of people do travel around the world by plane but dhips are still very important for moving goods.
So the sea still plays a very important part life in Britain.
